The Nest Power Project
There are families in the US who spend more than 10% of their income on utilities. This is what’s called Energy Poverty. Nest wanted to do something about it. So, we designed and developed the Power Project. Nest committed to making one million thermostats available to energy efficiency programs and to every Habitat for Humanity home built in 2018.

On this simple but powerful site, people use their ZIP code to find or fund local aid programs that fight poverty caused by pressing energy bills. By featuring energy poverty through personal stories and hard numbers, The Power Project puts the issue on the map with the aim of erasing it. FWA site of the day website for 14 days straight.

Energy poverty is real, and it deserves our attention. Through the families and stories we captured, Nest brought this issue to the forefront. The stories we followed revealed the positive impact and savings of Nest E, and allowed us to bring this issue to light.
